For Goodness Cakes Cupcakery

For Goodness Cakes Cupcakery is yet another new cupcakery. This one is located in Bella Terra, Huntington Beach, and their cupcakes are very good! The lady who served us said that all the cupcakes they made were baked on the same day that they were put on display. I tried their Midnight, my mom their Strawberry Kiss, and my brother had their Celebration. Over all, I really liked this place. My mom and I both finished ours, but my brother, just had eaten and not the biggest sugar fan, ate about three fourths of his. I really enjoyed the edible sparkles, a detailed flower, a huge chunk of dark chocolate, and other stuff that they put on many of the cupcakes. I went there a few days ago, and now that I visit their website, I can see that they have changed the appearance of some of their cupcakes, such as Midnight and replaced some of them like their Strawberry Kiss with their Raspberry Kiss. (View all their current flavors at http://www.forgoodnesscakeshb.com/flavors.php) For Goodness Cakes also does birthday parties, where the group can tour the kitchen, select a cupcake, frost it, and decorate it! Like Lil Red's, I can't wait to go back to this great cupcakery! Visit them at http://www.forgoodnesscakeshb.com/index.php!

Lil Red's Cupcakery

Lil Red's cupcakery is among one of the few new places that have superb cupcakes. My mom can't get enough of their Strawberries and Cream and their Salted Caramel. Surprisingly, my mom was never really a fan of strawberry cupcakes, until she tasted a sample of theirs! I enjoy their S'mores, Cookie, Brownie, Midnight, and much more. They used to be really close to us, but, sadly they are looking for a new location. The most recent update is that they will be re-opening next to the busiest Starbucks in town, on Bolsa Chica and Heil! Until then, Lil Red's has been opening booths at local events, such as school fairs, annual street fairs, and much more. If you would like to see where they will be, visit their facebook at https://www.facebook.com/lilredscupcakery?sk=wall&filter=2, or to go to their home page, go to http://www.lilredscupcakery.com/LIL_REDS_CUPCAKERY/LIL_REDS.html

Sprinkles Cupcakery

Sprinkles, at least the one I go to, is way over rated. The Sprinkles I go to is located in Newport Beach, CA, and is said to be owned by Candace Nelson, a famous chef. Sprinkles is supposed to be home to a rich, moist cupcake, but instead, many of Sprinkles' cupcakes are too dry and to me are considered a tourist attraction. Their cupcakes taste like the chefs bake their cupcakes the previous day, frost them, and let them sit in the open air until tomorrow. What makes it worse is that the cake is very dry, and when they put their rich yet dried out frosting on their cupcakes, it just makes it worse. However, if you are looking for a pretty cupcake, Sprinkles is where you should go. The chefs top them with editable sparkles and fantastic sprinkles, some shaped like basketballs and flowers. If you are interested in tasting a free cupcake, (but you can't choose which flavor!) look on Sprinkles' Twitter and see their "Deal of the Day!". Each day, go on Twitter and see their "secret" word/sentence, whisper it in an employee's ear, and, ta-da! you should receive a free cupcake! Visit Sprinkles at http://www.sprinkles.com/ for information, times, and other locations.
